The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 Those who humble themselves in their prayers; 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 and at almsgiving are active 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 They are the inheritors. 10 that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide. 11 And assuredly We created man of an extract of clay. 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 And We created above you seven ways, and We were not heedless of creation. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 We grow orchards of dates and grapes from it for you, Which yield fruits in abundance that you eat. 19 Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
