The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the racers, panting, 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 thereby raising clouds of dust, 4 Then penetrate to the centre of the enemy army. 5 Surely Man is ungrateful to his Lord, 6 He himself knows this very well. 7 and surely he loves riches with a passionate loving. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And what is in the breasts is made apparent? 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
