The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 closed around them 8 in towering columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
