Has it not become clear to those who inherited the earth after its [previous] people that if We willed, We could afflict them for their sins? But We seal over their hearts so they do not hear. 100 We have told you the stories of those towns: their messengers came to them with clear signs, but they were never going to believe in something they had already rejected. Thus God seals up the hearts of those who deny the truth. 101 We found no (loyalty to any) covenant in most of them. Nay, most of them We found wrong-doers. 102 After the time of those people, We sent Moses with Our miracles to Pharaoh and his people, but they too rejected Our miracles. Consider, how terrible the end of the evil-doers is! 103 And Moses said, "O Pharaoh, I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds 104 [Who is] obligated not to say about Allah except the truth. I have come to you with clear evidence from your Lord, so send with me the Children of Israel." 105 The Pharaoh asked Moses to show his miracles if he was telling the truth. 106 Then [Musa (Moses)] threw his stick and behold! it was a serpent, manifest! 107 And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white [with radiance] for the observers. 108
