We have created the human being out of pure mud-moulded clay 26 And the jinn We created before, of intensely hot fire. 27 And lo! Thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create mortal man out of sounding clay, out of dark slime transmuted; 28 So, when I have made him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, do ye fall down, prostrating yourselves unto him. 29 So, the angels - all of them - fell down in prostration, 30 Except Iblees, he refused to be with those who prostrated. 31 Allah said: O Iblis! what aileth thou that thou art not with the prostrates? 32 He replied: 'I will not prostrate to a mortal You have created of clay, from molded mud' 33 He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away: 34 And verily on thee shall be the curse till the Day of Requital. 35 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 36 He said, "You are granted respite 37 "Till the predetermined time." 38 Iblis said, "Lord, because you have caused me to go astray, I shall make earthly things attractive to (people) and mislead all of them 39 except Your sincere servants". 40 Said He, 'This is for Me a straight path: 41 "Certainly, you shall have no authority over My slaves, except those who follow you of the Ghawin (Mushrikun and those who go astray, criminals, polytheists, and evil-doers, etc.). 42 And surely Hell is the promised place of them all: 43 with seven gates leading into it, each gate receiving its allotted share of sinners. 44
