The Poets (Alshu'araa')
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) 1 THESE ARE MESSAGES of the divine writ, clear in itself and clearly showing the truth! 2 It may be that you will destroy yourself with grief because they will not believe. 3 If We please, We should send down upon them a sign from the heaven so that their necks should stoop to it. 4 A fresh remembrance has never come to them from the Merciful, except they turn away from it. 5 So they have cried lies; therefore assuredly tidings will come to them of that they mocked at. 6 Have they not seen the earth, how much of every fruitful kind We make to grow therein? 7 Verily, in this is an Ayah (proof or sign), yet most of them (polytheists, pagans, etc., who do not believe in Resurrection) are not believers. 8 And indeed your Lord – indeed only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 9
