Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
