The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those [angels] lined up in rows 1 By the angels driving away. 2 and those who recite Our revelations, 3 surely your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them; the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic! 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 Will our forefathers also be brought to life again?" 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
