[AND the tribe of] Thamud gave the lie to [one of God's] message-hearers 141 Recall when their brother Salih said to them: "Have you no fear?" 142 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 143 So fear Allah, and obey me. 144 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 145 "Do you think that you will remain here peacefully forever 146 “In gardens and water springs?” 147 And green crops (fields etc.) and date-palms with soft spadix. 148 “And you carve out dwellings in the mountains, with skill?” 149 So fear Allah and obey me. 150 “And do not follow those who exceed the limits.” 151 Who cause corruption in the land and do not amend." 152 They said, "You are only bewitched and insane. 153 Thou art but a mortal like us. So bring some token if thou art of the truthful. 154 He said, "This is a she-camel. She will have her share of water as you have your share, each on a certain day. 155 Do not cause her to suffer lest you become subject to the torment of the great day (of Judgment)." 156 Yet they hamstrung her, and then they became regretful: 157 For they were seized by the torment. Verily there was a sign in this, but most of them did not believe. 158 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 159

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
