The unbelievers say, 'What, when we are dust, and our fathers, shall we indeed be brought forth? 67 “Indeed this promise was given to us, and before us to our forefathers – this is nothing but stories of former people.” 68 Say: "Travel in the land and see how (bad) was the end of sinners." 69 Do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. 70 And they say: When (will) this promise (be fulfilled), if ye are truthful? 71 Say: 'It may be that riding behind you already is some part of that you seek to hasten on. 72 Now, verily, thy Sustainer is indeed limitless in His bounty unto men - but most of them are bereft of gratitude. 73 And indeed, your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they declare. 74 And there is nothing concealed in the heaven and the earth but it is in a clear book. 75 Surely this Koran relates to the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they are at variance; 76 And lo! it is a guidance and a mercy for believers. 77 Indeed your Lord judges between them with His command; and He is the Almighty, the All Knowing. 78 Therefor (O Muhammad) put thy trust in Allah, for thou (standest) on the plain Truth. 79 Surely you cannot make the dead hear you, nor can you make the deaf hear your call if they turn back in flight, 80 Nor can you lead the blind out of their error, you can only make to hear those who believe in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and who have submitted (themselves to Allah in Islam as Muslims). 81 ۞ When the Word falls on them, We shall bring forth for them out of the earth a beast that shall speak unto them: 'Mankind had no faith in Our signs.' 82
