In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Ya, Seen. 1 By the Wise Koran, 2 verily, thou art indeed one of God's message-bearers, 3 On a straight path, 4 A revelation of the Mighty, the Merciful, 5 In order that you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 6 The sentence is surely justified against most of them, for they do not believe. 7 We have put yokes round their necks right up to their chins, so that they cannot bow their heads 8 We have set-up a barrier in front of and behind them and have made them blind. Thus, they cannot see. 9 It is the same whether you have warned them or you have not warned them, they do not believe. 10 You can warn only those who would follow the Reminder and fear the Gracious God, unseen. Give them the good news of forgiveness and a noble reward. 11 Surely it is We who bring the dead to life and write down what they have forwarded and what they have left behind; everything We have numbered in a clear register. 12

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
