▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 And verily that is a mighty oath, if ye but knew! 76 Most surely it is an honored Quran, 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels). 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 do you make it your provision to belie it? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat of the dying 83 Whereas you watch at that moment! 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed, 86 Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 there shall be repose and ease, and a Garden of Delight; 89 And if he be of the Companions of the Right Hand, 90 Then: peace unto thee, for thou art of those on the right hand. 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 and a roasting in Hell. 94 Indeed, this is the certain truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96
