The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 and by the reciters of the Reminder: 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars, 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 [So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a perpetual torment; 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 You marvel (at the wondrous creations of Allah) and they scoff at it, 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 They say, "Shall we be brought to life again after we die and turn into dust and bones? 16 What, and our forefathers, the ancients' 17 You say: "Yes; and you will be lowly made." 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 This is the Day of Decision which you belied. 21
