The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who range themselves in close ranks 1 and restraining [from evil] by a call to restraint, 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 Behold, We have adorned the skies nearest to the earth with the beauty of stars, 6 and guarded it against all rebellious devils: 7 (So) they should not strain their ears in the direction of the Exalted Assembly but be cast away from every side, 8 Being driven off, and for them is a perpetual chastisement, 9 except such as snatches a fragment, and he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 And they say, “This is nothing but clear magic.” 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 for that [resurrection which they deride] will be [upon them of a sudden, as if it were] but a single accusing cry - and then, lo! they will begin to see [the truth] 19 They will say, "Woe to us! This is the Day of Reckoning." 20 [It will be said], "This is the Day of Judgement which you have been denying." 21
