3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 A lie-- gods besides Allah-- do you desire? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 when it is Allah who created you and all that you do' 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
