Say, [Prophet], "I am only a warner. There is no god but God, the One, the All-Powerful, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, the Mighty, the Forgiver. 66 Say thou: it is a tiding mighty. 67 [how can] you turn away from it?" 68 I have no knowledge of the dispute among the angels (concerning their attitude towards Adam). 69 Naught is revealed unto me except that I am a warner manifest. 70 When your Lord said to the angels: “Verily I am creating a human being from clay. 71 and when I give it proper shape and blow My spirit into it, bow down in prostration to him," 72 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 73 except Iblis. He waxed proud and became one of the unbelievers. 74 The Lord said, "Iblis, what prevented you from prostrating before what I have created with My own hands? Was it because of your pride or are you truly exalted?" 75 He said: I am better than he; Thou hast created me of fire, and him Thou didst create of dust. 76 "Begone! You are accursed: 77 'My curse shall rest on you until the Day of Recompense' 78 Said [Iblis]: "Then, O my Sustainer, grant me a respite till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead!" 79 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 80 till the Appointed Day." 81 He said: Then by Thy Might I will surely make them live an evil life, all, 82 Except Thy servants from among them, the purified ones. 83 (Allah) said: "Then it is just and fitting- and I say what is just and fitting- 84 “That I will fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all together.” 85 Say: "I do not ask any compensation of you for it, nor am I a specious pretender. 86 It is nothing but a reminder to the nations; 87 And you will surely know [the truth of] its information after a time." 88
