The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 And when the mountains are made to pass away, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 The closing night, 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 who is honored in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon. 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 When whither go ye? 26 Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
