AND IT IS We who have built the universe with [Our creative] power; and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it. 47 and We cradled the earth. And We are the Best of Cradlers. 48 We have created everything in pairs so that perhaps you may take heed. 49 And so, [O Muhammad, say unto them:] "Flee unto God [from all that is false and evil]! Verily, I am a plain warner to you from Him! 50 And set not up with God another god; I am a clear warner from Him to you. 51 Similarly, no Messenger came to those before them but they said: 'Sorcerer, or mad' 52 Have they, perchance, handed down this [way of thinking] as a legacy unto one another? Nay, they are people filled with overweening arrogance! 53 So turn away from them, you shall not be blamed, 54 And advise, for advice benefits the Muslims. 55 I have not created mankind and jinn except to worship Me. 56 I seek no livelihood from them, nor do I ask that they should feed Me. 57 Lo! Allah! He it is that giveth livelihood, the Lord of unbreakable might. 58 Those who do wrong will indeed come to the same end as their fellows (of old). So let them not ask Me to hasten (the punishment). 59 So woe to the unbelievers, for that day of theirs that they are promised. 60
