۞ We said to Moses: "Travel by night with My creatures. You will surely be pursued." 52 So Firon sent heralds into the cities; 53 Verily these are but a band small. 54 They are always harassing us. 55 "But we are a multitude amply fore-warned." 56 So We expelled them from gardens and fountains, 57 and their treasures and excellent dwellings. 58 even so, and We bequeathed them upon the Children of Israel. 59 And they overtook them at sunrise. 60 And when the two hosts came in view of each other, Moses' companions said: 'We have been reached' 61 Musa said: by no means; verily with me is my Lord; He shall guide me. 62 Then We revealed to Moses, (commanding him): "Strike the sea with your rod." Thereupon the sea split up, and then each became like the mass of a huge mount. 63 Then We brought the others to that place. 64 And We saved Musa and those with him, all of them. 65 then We drowned the others. 66 In this [story] behold, there is a message [unto all men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 67 Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 68

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
