Al-Shooraa 4 of 5
Whatever misfortune happens to you, is because on the things your hands have wrought, and for many (of them) He grants forgiveness. 30 And you will not cause failure [to Allah] upon the earth. And you have not besides Allah any protector or helper. 31 Further evidence (of His existence) are the ships which stand as mountains in the sea. 32 If it be His Will He can still the Wind: then would they become motionless on the back of the (ocean). Verily in this are Signs for everyone who patiently perseveres and is grateful. 33 or He may cause them to founder because of people's misdeeds, He pardons many of them, 34 and that those who dispute concerning Our signs may know they have no asylum. 35 Whatever ye are given (here) is (but) a convenience of this life: but that which is with Allah is better and more lasting: (it is) for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord: 36 And (for) those who avoid cardinal sins and indecencies, and forgive (even) when they are angry. 37 who have pledged their obedience to the Lord, who are steadfast in prayer, who conduct their affairs with consultation among themselves, who spend for the cause of God out of what We have given them, 38 and who, when insolence visits them, do help themselves -- 39 The meed of an ill-deed is an ill the like thereunto; but whosoever pardoneth and amendeth, his hire is on Allah; verily He approveth not the wrong-doers. 40 And whoever avenges himself after having been wronged - those have not upon them any cause [for blame]. 41 The way of blame is only against those who wrong mankind, and rebel in the earth without justice; these! for them is a torment afflictive. 42 But he who bears with patience and forgives, surely complies with divine resolve. 43

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
