Therefore continue to remind, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer, or a madman. 29 Do they say: "He is a poet for whom we expect an adverse turn of fortune?" 30 Say, "Wait, for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters." 31 Is this what their senses tell them, or are they a rebellious people? 32 Or do they say: "He himself has composed this [message]"? Nay, but they are not willing to believe! 33 Let them then produce a recital like unto it (the Quran) if they are truthful. 34 Were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather they are not certain. 36 Or are with them the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the tyrants with the authority to do as they like? 37 Or have they a stairway (to heaven), by means of which they listen (to the talks of the angels)? Then let their listener produce some manifest proof. 38 Hath He daughters and ye sons? 39 Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask a wage from them (for your preaching of Islamic Monotheism) so that they are burdened with a load of debt? 40 Or have they the unseen so that they write (it) down? 41 Or, do they desire to outwit? The unbelievers are the outwitted. 42 Or do they have a God besides Allah? Purity is to Allah from their ascribing of partners to Him. 43 And if they were to see a fragment from the sky falling, they would say, "[It is merely] clouds heaped up." 44 Therefore leave them, until they confront their day, in which they will be stunned. 45 A day in which their guile will naught avail them, nor will they be helped. 46 Surely a chastisement awaits the wrong-doers even before the coming of that Day; but most of them do not know. 47 And so, await in patience thy Sustainer's judgment, for thou art well within Our sight. And extol thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise whenever thou risest up, 48 And glorify Him in the night and when the stars begin to wane. 49
