Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
