(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
