Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Quran! 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 to come back to life after we have died and become dust? That is most improbable!" 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record. 4 Nay, they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are (now) in a state of confusion. 5 What, have they never observed the heaven above them, (and seen) how We built and adorned it, leaving no crack? 6 We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers and We made every kind of splendid thing to grow upon it 7 As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature. 8 And We send down water as a blessing from the sky, and grow gardens with it and the grain for harvest, 9 And high date-palms with lush fruit. 10 a provision for the servants, and thereby We revived a land that was dead. Even so is the coming forth. 11 Before them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Noah, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud, 12 and Ad and Pharaoh, the brothers of Lot, 13 and the people of Aykah, and the people of Tubba'. They all gave the lie to the Messengers. Thereafter My threat of chastisement against them was fulfilled. 14 Were We then tired with the first creation? Nay, They are in confused doubt about a new creation (i.e. Resurrection)? 15
