The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 Then those who drive away with reproof, 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 your God is One, 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 (Muhammad), ask them, "Have they (people) been created stronger than what We have created?" We have created them from moist clay. 11 Truly dost thou marvel, while they ridicule, 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Say, "You will certainly be brought back to life in disgrace". 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 And they will say: Ah! woe be unto us! this is the Day of Requital. 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21
