And assuredly unto the household of Fir'awn came the warning. 41 They cried lies to Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with the seizing of One mighty, omnipotent. 42 ARE, THEN, those of you who [now] deny the truth better than those others - or have you, perchance, [been promised] immunity in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom? 43 Or do they say: "We are a well-accoutred army?" 44 (Let them know that) this united group will soon run away in defeat. 45 Nay; the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Hour shall be more calamitous and bitter. 46 Indeed the criminals are astray and insane. 47 The Day they will be dragged in the Fire on their faces (it will be said to them): "Taste you the touch of Hell!" 48 BEHOLD, everything have We created in due measure and proportion; 49 We command but once: Our will is done in the twinkling of an eye; 50 And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember? 51 And everything they have done is in the writings. 52 everything large or small, is duly inscribed. 53 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and light, 54 Firmly established in the favour of a Mighty King. 55
