▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for he who fears the standing (before) his Lord there are two Gardens. 46 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 47 abounding in branches -- 48 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 49 In them (both) will be two springs flowing (free) 50 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 51 In both of them, there will be two kinds of every fruit. 52 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 53 (The dwellers of Paradise) will recline on couches lined with silk brocade and it will be easy to reach the ripe fruits from the two gardens. 54 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 55 In these [gardens] will be mates of modest gaze, whom neither man nor invisible being will have touched ere then. 56 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 57 As though they were rubies and pearls. 58 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 59 Shall the recompense of kindness be aught save kindness? 60 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 61 And beside these there shall be two Gardens. 62 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 63 Of darkest verdant green -- 64 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 65 In [each of] these two [gardens] will two springs gush forth. 66 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 67 In them are fruits (of all kinds), and dates and pomegranate. 68 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 69 In them are goodly things, beautiful ones. 70 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 71 Houris cloistered in pavilions -- 72 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 73 Undeflowered by man or by jinn before them, -- 74 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 75 [In such a paradise will they dwell,] reclining upon meadows green and carpets rich in beauty. 76 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 77 Blessed be the Name of your Lord, Majestic, Splendid. 78

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
