Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Say: 'It has been revealed to me that a company of the jinn gave ear, then they said, "We have indeed heard a Koran wonderful, 1 guiding to rectitude. We believe in it, and we will not associate with our Lord anyone. 2 for [we know] that sublimely exalted is our Sustainer's majesty: no consort has He ever taken unto Himself, nor a son! 3 ‘And that the fool among us used to utter false exaggerations against Allah.’ 4 We thought that no man or jinn could ever tell lies about God. 5 But there were certain men of mankind who would take refuge with certain men of the jinn, and they increased them in vileness, 6 ‘And that they assumed, like you humans assume, that Allah would not send any Noble Messenger.’ 7 (The jinn continued saying): "We made our way towards heaven, but we found it filled with stern guards and a flame. 8 we used to take up a position to listen, but whoever listens now finds a flaming fire lying in wait for him -- 9 we cannot tell if this bodes evil to those who dwell on earth or whether their Lord intends to guide them. 10 'There are among us some that are righteous, and some the contrary: we follow divergent paths. 11 And that we know that we cannot escape Allah in the earth, nor can we escape Him by flight: 12 And when we heard the Message of guidance, we believed therein; and whosoever believeth in his Lord, he shall fear neither diminution nor wrong. 13 'And of us some are Muslims (who have submitted to Allah, after listening to this Quran), and of us some are Al-Qasitun (disbelievers those who have deviated from the Right Path)'. And whosoever has embraced Islam (i.e. has become a Muslim by submitting to Allah), then such have sought the Right Path." 14 'But those who swerve,- they are (but) fuel for Hell-fire'- 15 If people were to keep firmly to the Right Way, We would have vouchsafed them abundant rain 16 In order to try them through it. But whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, will be given increasing torment by Him." 17 ‘And that the mosques are for Allah only – therefore do not worship anyone along with Allah.’ 18 When the worshiper of Allah stood supplicating to Him, they swarmed around him (Prophet Muhammad). 19
