The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
O the Cloaked One! (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) 1 Arise and warn, 2 and exalt your Lord, 3 And keep your clothes clean. 4 stay away from sins 5 And do not confer favor to acquire more 6 and for the sake of your Lord, be patient. 7 For when the trumpet blows 8 that shall be a Harsh Day 9 Far from easy for those without Faith. 10 Leave Me with him whom I alone have created, 11 and to whom I have granted resources vast, 12 And sons to be by his side!- 13 And I adjusted affairs for him adjustably; 14 Then he desires that I should add more. 15 Nay, verily, it is against Our messages that he knowingly, stubbornly sets himself 16 I will cover him with arduous torment. 17 Indeed he thought, and inwardly decided. 18 Perish he! How maliciously he devised! 19 What an evil plan he has made! 20 Then he looked round; 21 Then he frowned and scowled, 22 Then he turned back and was proud; 23 He said, 'This is naught but a trumped-up sorcery; 24 “This is nothing but the speech of a man.” 25 Him shall I fling unto the burning. 26 - Ah, what will convey unto thee what that burning is! - 27 Naught doth it permit to endure, and naught doth it leave alone!- 28 It scorches people's skin 29 Over it are nineteen (angels as guardians and keepers of Hell). 30 We have appointed none but angels to guard the Fire, and made their number only as a trial for the unbelievers, so that those to whom the Book was given are certain and those who believe increase in belief. And that those who were given the Book, and those who believe will not be in doubt. And that those in whose hearts there is a sickness, together with the unbelievers, may say: 'What did Allah intend by this as an example' As such, Allah leaves in error whom He will and He guides whomsoever He will. None knows the hosts of your Lord except He. This is no more than a Reminder to humans. 31
