Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known term? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
