The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 and by the promised Day, 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 when they were seated around it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 It is He who creates all things and causes them to return. 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Qur'an. 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
