Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known term? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
