Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 To the day of decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
