The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Of what ask they? 1 About the awesome tiding [of resurrection,] 2 About which they differ? 3 No indeed; soon will they come to know; 4 Again, indeed, they shall know! 5 Have We not made the earth as a cradle 6 and fixed the mountains like pegs, 7 and created you in pairs (as men and women), 8 And have made your sleep as a thing for rest. 9 made the night as a covering, 10 and made the day for earning a livelihood. 11 And (have We not) built over you the seven firmaments, 12 and placed in them a blazing lamp 13 From the rain clouds We send waters pouring down in abundance, 14 That We may produce therewith corn and vegetations, 15 And gardens dense and luxuriant. 16 Verily the Day of Sorting out is a thing appointed, 17 The Day the Horn is blown and you will come forth in multitudes 18 and heaven is opened, and become gates, 19 and the mountains are set in motion, and become a vapour. 20 Lo! hell lurketh in ambush, 21 a return for the insolent, 22 for the rebellious ones and they will live therein for ages. 23 They will not taste therein cool or any drink. 24 Except scalding water and [foul] purulence - 25 , A fitting reward. 26 For lo! they looked not for a reckoning; 27 They called Our revelations false with strong denial. 28 And We have recorded everything in a book, 29 Therefore taste it now – We shall not increase anything for you except the punishment. 30

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
