The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 and thus they fulfil the [Creator's] behest! 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 Hearts will pound loudly on that day, 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself 18 And that I guide you to your Lord, so you should fear Him? 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 but the Pharaoh rejected it and disobeyed (Moses). 21 and hastily turned away, 22 then he mustered 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 In this, behold, there is a lesson indeed for all who stand in awe [of God]. 26
