Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 Illustrious scribes 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
