The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the morning hours 1 and by the calm of night, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 and the Hereafter will indeed be better for you than the present life; 4 And soon will your Lord give you so that you shall be well pleased. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 Did He not find you in want, and make you free from want? 8 Wherefore as to the orphan, be thou not unto him overbearing. 9 and as for the beggar, scold him not; 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11
