The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And by the night when it is stillest, 2 Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and take care of you? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
