The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
