The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 And those who restrain by reprimanding, 2 and conveying [to all the world] a reminder: 3 Indeed, your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, and Lord of the easts. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 Outcast, and theirs is a constant (or painful) torment. 9 but if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge,] he is [henceforth] pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them if they are more difficult to create, or the rest We have created? Indeed (man) We created from fermented clay. 11 No wonder you are surprised as they laugh with scorn. 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 And say, "This is not but obvious magic. 15 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then certainly be raised, 16 And also our forefathers? 17 Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." 18 For it is only a single scaring, then behold, they are watching 19 They will say: "Woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense!" 20 [They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny." 21
