Moses said: "O my Lord, enlarge my breast, 25 And make my mission easy. 26 "And remove the impediment from my speech, 27 "That they understand my speech, 28 Appoint for me of my folk a familiar, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 and let him share my task, 32 "That we may glorify You much, 33 and remember you often. 34 Indeed, You are of us ever Seeing." 35 He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36 We have again bestowed Our favour upon you. 37 "Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message: 38 to lace her child in a chest and throw it into the sea which would hurl it towards the shore. Then an enemy of Mine who was also the enemy of the child would pick it up from there. I made you attractive and loveable so that you would be reared before My own eyes. 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 “And I created you especially for Myself.” 41 Go, you and your brother with My signs, and do not be negligent of My Remembrance. 42 "Go, both of you, to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds; 43 "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah." 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 Pharaoh said, "Who then is the Lord of you both, Moses?" 49 Moses replied, "Our Lord is He who has given everything its form, then guided it." 50 He (Pharaoh) asked: 'How was it then, with the former generations' 51 Musa said: the knowledge thereof is with my Lord in the Book; my Lord erreth not, nor He forgetteth. 52 It is He who has laid out the earth for you and traced routes in it and sent down water from the sky. We have brought forth every sort of plant with it, 53 so eat and graze your cattle. In this there are signs for men of understanding. 54
