We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 Behold, We delivered him and his adherents, all 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
