Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

By the midday brightness 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
