Then when the sent ones entered unto the household of Lut. 61 He said, “You are an unfamiliar people.” 62 They said, 'Nay, but we have brought thee that concerning which they were doubting. 63 We bring you the truth, and indeed we are truthful. 64 Leave the town with your family sometime during the night. Walk behind them and let no one turn around. Proceed as you are commanded." 65 We communicated to him Our decree that the guilty ones would be destroyed by the morning. 66 Then came the people of the city, exulting at the news. 67 He said: 'These are my guests; do not shame me. 68 "And fear Allah and disgrace me not." 69 They said: "Did we not forbid thee (to speak) for all and sundry?" 70 He said: These are my daughters, if you will do (aught). 71 Verily, by your life (O Muhammad SAW), in their wild intoxication, they were wandering blindly. 72 and the Cry seized them at the sunrise, 73 Thus did We turn it upside down, and rained down upon them stones of what had been decreed. 74 In this there is evidence (of the Truth) for the prudent ones. 75 And indeed, those cities are [situated] on an established road. 76 Surely, in that there is a sign for those who believe. 77 And the dwellers in the wood [i.e. the people of Madyan (Midian) to whom Prophet Shu'aib was sent by Allah), were also Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.). 78 On them, too, We took vengeance, and they are both on a clear roadway. 79
