Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! 1 Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired. 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 And so will his wife; carrying a bundle of firewood on her head. 4 Around her neck will be a rope of palm fibre. 5

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
