The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 in extended columns. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
