People of Hijr rejected the Messengers. 80 for We did vouchsafe them Our messages, but they obstinately turned their backs upon them 81 They carved out dwellings in the mountains, and lived in security -- 82 Then the Blast caught them in the morning 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Surely your Lord is the All Knowing Creator! 86 And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an. 87 Strain not thine eyes. (Wistfully) at what We have bestowed on certain classes of them, nor grieve over them: but lower thy wing (in gentleness) to the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 So We sent it down to the partitioners, 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 As to what they did. 93 (O Prophet), proclaim what you are commanded, and pay no heed to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity. 94 We are surely sufficient to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Those who ascribe another God along with Allah; so they will soon come to know. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 Glorify and praise your Lord and be with those who prostrate themselves before God. 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99
