The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which will climb on to the hearts. 7 It will engulf them. 8 in extended columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
