The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 And Who makes (things) according to a measure, then guides (them to their goal), 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
