The People of the Woods denied the Noble Messengers. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 177 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 And I do not ask you any reward for it, my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 180 ۞ Give a full measure and be not of those who diminish; 181 "And weigh with scales true and upright. 182 and do not deliver short, and do not go about creating mischief in the land, 183 And keep your duty unto Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old. 184 They said: "Surely you are deluded. 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 Drop down on us lumps from heaven, if you are one of the truthful' 187 He said, 'My Lord knows very well what you are doing.' 188 They rejected him, and then had to suffer the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom. That was indeed the punishment of an awful day. 189 Verily in this was a sign, but most of them do not believe. 190 And most surely your Lord is Mighty, the Merciful. 191
